Welcome new listeners. Don’t worry about the heavy beginning, it gets lighter as it goes in. Great episode. The only thing that would make it better would be more Baby Hoff. Shame on Bob for confusing his Australians though.
Boom! does have a high price but they do get some top talent (Waid, Hardman, Roberson, etc). They also do a shedload of varient covers for everything. It must help with the sales but I do notice it with that publisher.
I don’t see those free Marvel comics on Comixology. When I go to the website and click on the free comics link, they are not listed? Do I have to do something else?
About 1 hour in and this episode gets laugh out loud funny. This is definitely the episode you should submit come award season (I think I see a Noisey in your future).
People constantly stop me in the street and ask me why I prefer drunk Bob on my podcasts. Well, let me tell you, this is exhibit A. It allows us to peer through his carefully constructed persona to a glimpse of the real man. Stripped of his guarded mannerims and cautious comments, he lets us know what is what and where he stands. Of course we also wait for the episode where he goes to far and Paul is forced to smother him with a pillow (preferrably a pillow like this, http://mypillowpets.com/, just for the visual).

Just remember folks, if you’re going to drastically change your diet and daily caloric intake, it might not be the best time to kill a bottle of liquor and keep downing beers behind a microphone. Weird, emotional things happen.
As for the Marvel Holiday Special 2011 free 4 stories. It appears that Marvel decided to remove the free downloads once they slapped that $3.99 price tag on the “collection”. Bad form Marvel, Bad form. You get two demerits for that stunt.
